A Summer's Day @ Brabourne Farm

It's been a lovely weekend in the garden.  The lawn has been cut, the hedges trimmed, the sweet peas are covered in flowers (just proves they grow just as well if planted in spring), the roses are blooming again after all the hot weather before Christmas, the baby eggplants have appeared, the lemon and apple trees in the kitchen garden are coming along well (fingers crossed the birds don't spot the apples), we picked our first corn (yum yum) and the basil is ready for pesto making.  And to make it just perfect, we had a lovely thunderstorm and rain last night - gardener's heaven!
