I love reading posts like this that inspire so many potential ideas. I like Millie's idea of using the half rowing eight - especially if it has a story to tell. I had my eye on an oar recently, now I wish I'd grabbed it.Spicy Jamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12350020694002489075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928916946565583012.post-42842030926631038042009-09-29T17:36:19.809+10:002009-09-29T17:36:19.809+10:00Love that dress hanging on the wall! Loved the Zinc pots and planters....especially the peonies, cyclemen and viburmun...gorgeous..... and,
4. What wonderful ways to display artwork....my particular favourite being the ironwork in the 2nd picture.
Sorry that my comments are a bit short and to the point, but I'm playing catch up here, Leigh !!!! I'm all for a bit of individual quirkiness. MOTH's got an old wooden rowing eight that he found broken in half at the Dump stored in our shed. It still has the slides intact & he wants to do something creative with it. I'm not sure though that it will cut it as wall art!
Millie ^_^Milliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15408461724832141163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928916946565583012.post-25758877706559521012009-09-29T10:13:58.267+10:002009-09-29T10:13:58.267+10:00Hi Leigh, I agree. We bought it from John Normyle Antiques in Paddington and she absolutely loved it. We had a huge bow tied on it when we brought it in to the party.

And I think the paintings of the sheep were her Grandmothers from memory. She is such a stylish woman. I'm sure her children are all grown and married now, I haven't been in touch for years.

x cotyCoty Farquharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02105970728684158885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928916946565583012.post-65908554088760011802009-09-29T09:52:09.643+10:002009-09-29T09:52:09.643+10:00I saw that first pic in Country Style and just lov...I saw that first pic in Country Style and just loved it.beachvintage.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16075401950286198394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928916946565583012.post-14575369429831713102009-09-29T09:12:50.297+10:002009-09-29T09:12:50.297+10:00Great post.
