Bathroom @ Brabourne Farm

.

.
As you can see from these photos, my bathroom has a built-in wardrobe (which I chose instead of a bath tub). The other bathrooms ave identical layouts - both have tubs but no wardrobes.
.
The wardrobe in the bathroom idea caused some architect angst as he couldn't get his head around why I'd want a wardrobe in the bathroom but it made perfect sense to me - why leave the bathroom to go to another room to get dressed or get your clothes. I love the result and absolutely wouldn't change it and no, mould and moisture isn't a problem!
.
All the bathrooms have identical fittings and finishes - limestone bench tops, polished limestone in the showers, identical but different sized vanities, blinds and clothes baskets.

  1. I think it makes perfect sense, too, to have a wardrobe in a bathroom. It *should* be standard.

  2. Beautiful. Great idea to have the wardrobe in the bathroom. We just renovated our bathroom I have no bath as know one ever used the old one. I put a chanderlier in mine and that caused a lot off angst. It has the wow factor.

  3. Sometimes it's very good to rattle cages a little in the design process Leigh. Your bathroom is just fantastic & I love the French doors opening out onto the terrace. And I bet your architect has told other clients about the great idea he had about putting a wardrobe in a bathroom on a previous assignment!

  4. How clever! I love the idea of having a wardrobe in the bathroom - I'm forever having to drag my clothes into the bathroom or alternatively having to don my bathroom & hotfoot it back to the bedroom.

I absolutely love your bathroom - very classic and very, very stylish.
