Delicious Comfort

I love these beautiful sitting rooms - they just beg you to come in and relax. What gives a sitting room a cosy feel? For me it's squashy sofas piled high with feather cushions and soft throws, a collection of my treasures and beautiful things, photos and paintings, a comfy chair for a quiet read, well-worn antiques, an open fireplace ..... all these things (and more) help to create my own little piece of heaven!

  1. You find the most delicious images Leigh! I love that second last room, so colourful and beautiful, and perfectly balanced.

    Have a lovely day. xx

  3. OOh I love the simplicity and symmetry of that second room - I could spend an hour or two with my feet up I'm sure!

  5. Beautiful rooms -- I'd be happy sitting in any of them!! My favourite is the third room -- love the clock above the fireplace, the orange side chairs, and the wood ceiling beams :-)

  7. I'm so with you on the squishy sofas & cushions Leigh. I'm never unhappier than when I'm forced to sit in one of those stiff leather buttoned Chesterfield thingos - yuk. Son # 5 has already put a sticker with his name on it on the bottom of our very squishy sofa, so he gets first dibs on it at the reading of our Will!
