Outdoor Comfort

.
.
I love rooms that flow to the outdoors - the easy connection to the surrounding environment not only extends your living space but also creates rooms that are wonderful for entertaining and relaxing. Is there anything lovelier than being part of the great outdoors, especially in summer!

  1. The French doors in that kitchen in the last photo are exactly what I want for my next house/kitchen! Thanks for sharing this picture; it will definitely go in my files! xo Gigi

  2. I love this post. I want to live where you can leave doors open such as that SO BAD. I want that flow from inside to out blurred to enjoy the great outdoors. In Australia can you do that? Here in Houston too many bugs but hoping when we move back to California that we can make it happen. Such lovely examples!

  4. I also love rooms that close the gap between indoors and out. I love the periwinkle french doors and the first photo of the garage/sitting room. We just redid our garage and really wanted the old style doors that opened out like this...I lost but I did get a carriage style door. Thanks for sharing...dj
