The Way We Wash

These lovely laundries just prove that doing the washing and ironing doesn't have to be boring task.  You spend a lot of time in the laundry so why not make it nice!

  1. Who wouldn't love doing the laundry in those rooms! I love the 5th picture with what looks like a Border Collie pup in the sink! Our Border Collie would never stand for that, crazy girl that she is!

They also have the Burleigh pudding basin in that picture that I covet!

  6. It's strange, i detest doing laundry, however having a super planned out gorgeous laundry is extremely high on my reno agenda!! There's something so satisfying in a well equipped laundry/boot room.

I had a laugh at the border collie too, mine wouldn't fit in the sink, let alone sit still :)

  8. It's 9 p.m. & I now want to start ripping apart my laundry room. How fabulous would it be to have the one in your first photo. To have a door that opens to the outside would be heaven. Leigh, you've done it again!

  13. Having just arrived home from holiday with bucket loads of laundry, I am inspired to get my own laundry up to scratch. Might as well do some decorating as I'm going to be spending quite a bit of time in there! Lovely post Leigh.

  16. Oh I agree Leigh. The laundry was thoroughly schemed in my home. I was inspired by the famous Traditional Home Hamptons style laundry that Villa Anna first blogged on yonks ago. I took the images to my cabinet maker and we schemed and schemed. I love my laundry so much now that I scream, "I love this room" every time someone is within earshot when I put a load of washing on. I will miss it when we sell and move back to reality in a rental but I am enjoying every washing load at present! A-M xx

  17. I agree. We spend some much time in this little room yet it is often so neglected.

  18. I like the laundry room, I do not have in my house because of the space. Your photos are beautiful, but the 1 is incredible, an ideal place for the work of the clothes.

    Good day,
