Early Spring @ Brabourne Farm

Spring is slowly starting here at Brabourne Farm - the days are getting longer, the pear trees and crabapples are flowering, the air smells sweet and the sound of birdsong is everywhere.  This truly is the most wonderful time of year!

  1. You have created such a lovely space, one to be admired and savoured with all the senses.
I would imagine that this time of the year is one of the most glorious on the Farm.

  4. Happy Spring, Leigh. I remember our excitement on the arrival of Spring in the northern hemisphere while you were lamenting the end of summer. Now the shoe's on the other foot. The first signs of spring are always a sight for sore eyes. Enjoy your spring! Steve

  7. What a scrumptious sight all this blossom is Leigh. We seem to be dragging our feet here in the Adelaide Hills, not much blossom at all, but I noticed lots down on the Plains yesterday. Your garden is looking superb, I was looking closely for a weed or two but not a one to be seen, you are amazing!

  9. How wonderful, you are well ahead of us but perhaps you have had some sun! This winter I could count the number of sunny days on one hand but I dare not complain. After 10 years of drought the rain has been magic!

  11. Dear Leigh,
First of all, sorry for my sporadic comments lately. I'm still trying to catch up from getting back from our holiday in Tuscany.
How lovely that Spring is arriving for you. As you know, I love your garden and it's certainly bursting into life.
We are coming into Autumn but I don't mind. It's a lovely season.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend. XXXX
