Roses @ Brabourne Farm

The roses are very late but are certainly worth the wait .... it's just so lovely to smell their perfume through the garden and the house.

PS A few of you have asked what the pink roses are .... on the columns at the front of the house are Pierre de Ronsard and the others in these images are David Austin.

  1. Beautiful. I planted a Pierre de Ronsard last year and it has beautiful flowers but no perfume :(

  8. Hi Leigh,

I'm going to try and type really fast as I should be doing bookwork now....so, love seeing any pictures of your home and garden. I thought that was a Pierre de Ronsard rose as I have just planted 2 to trail along one of my fences just outside the office window. I can't wait for them to grow. I initially had one in a pot on the same fence and it really struggled last year...even dying off, I thought I'd lost it, but after cutting it back it has bounced back again. So I am now training all three to grow up the fence. Love how you have decorated inside and love your slatted doors, looks like one coming off the lounge room. Anyway, hope you are having a great day. Thanks for sharing!!
    Take care

  10. I just absolutely love when you share pictures from your garden! ... when the roses are done around here, they are just starting to bloom "down under", so it's like the best of both worlds!!

    Thank you for sharing,

  11. Oh I was so happy to get a glimpse of the boys, they are looking so regal...I just love them.

Your roses are wonderful and I have always wanted a hedge big enough to have a little doorway through it.
