Another of my very favourite things are single chairs. Shabby and old or newly upholstered, mismatched, large or small, odd chairs are lovely in any room of the house. They are high on my endless antique and junk shop wishlist - the search goes on!

ReplyDeleteChairs are the ultimate solitary form of relaxation. A chair says, "I'm not sharing, so sit somewhere else." A chair also says, "Come let me enfold you in my softness." So much better than sofas!
