Do you have a staircase in your house? I don't, but looking at these gorgeous images makes me wish I did!

  3. Leigh - these are my kind of steps. The last photo is stunning, but all are favorites. My stairs are not grandiose in the least..so sad.
Thanks for all your kind words Leigh. You are terribly thoughtful & I am lucky to have met so many wonderful people. Time marches on..
    Lovely, lovely post Xx

  4. Sadly, I live in an apartment...BUT one day soon I plan on having a house and these will certainly serve as beautiful inspiration, if there's a staircase!

  5. I do have a staircase and it's dead boring compared to these.....making me think what I can do now Leigh...

  6. Those stairs are beautiful. And I've had two sets in an old house. You get upstairs and remember something you left downstairs. And vice versa. But oh, they're sure pretty in somebody else's house! (You sure think of good post titles!)

  8. I do!! This is the first home I have lived that had stairs and I LOVE them!! My staircase looks almost identical to the first photo, yet my stairs are steeper as they land on the second floor instead of making that elegant turn in the photo; and my front door (which looks just like this front door) is across from the bottom of the stairs!
I know, I know... I need to post pictures! I just bought a good camera today, in fact, so hopefully I will learn how to use it soon!!
    lovely post as always Leigh!

  10. No, no stairs here, even though I PROMISED the kids that our NEXT house would have stairs (oops, broke that one didn't I). I must admit I flip flop between wanting stairs and being thankful that I don't have them.
    Beautiful pics Leigh.

  11. 4 flights of stairs in mine.... they always have little piles of things on each level... things that need to be taken upstairs or down... great exercise.. I always try to run up them! I am just about to put a runner all the way up them.. a natural fibre one with black edging. Great inspiration in this post! A-M xx

  12. Beautiful staircases - we actually have two staircases in our house, but neither are as beautiful as these.

  14. Not only do they look great, they are also good forg you. That said Mr FF hates them renovation wise as all materials have to be carried upstairs and french houses are not known for their huge stairwells which means a lot of the materials end up going through the window.

He keeps threatening me with a bungalow......

  17. I don't have stairs, but I wish I did - I'd like to move right into that first house, and those stairs with the 'runner' of natural wood and the sides painted white? Fabulous.
