Folies Bergere

These gorgeous chairs were first introduced in the Regency/Rococo period in France in the 17th century and here they are today as popular as ever.  They can be used in almost any room and look fabulous covered in traditional or modern fabric.  Aren't they beautiful?

  5. Hi Leigh - I love these - all that white & cream upholstery!! gorgeous - you are so resourceful and have so many beautiful interiors - I think the 2nd is my favourite (maybe because we have the same windows and flooring and I just imagine that chair at the window; I also love a touch of red with the cream...Best Wishes, Susie x

  6. Love Bergere chairs, use them often in my design work. The top photo epitomizes my dream of a Paris apartment to run away to occasionally~ eat, drink, shop, and Museum gaze then crash in the down of a Bergere, just lovely (as always)....

  14. Dear Leigh - you have my sympathy about the heat...I am leaving for Sydney shortly to visit with my daughter who is at Sydney uni and I'm hoping for a cool December...meanwhile I'm sure I can provide you with lots of cool-looking images of this currently very cold and drizzly part of England! You're right about Bath though, we love it! Warm wishes, Susie x
