Oddly Coupled

I love tables with mismatched chairs.  It doesn't matter if the chairs are antique, modern, wooden, metal - put them together around a beautiful table and they look fabulous.

  2. Dear Leigh,
Thank you for all your beautiful posts. You may have been nominated for a 'Kreativ Blogger' award already, but I would like to nominate you just in case.

I look forward to following your blog closely again this year.

    Fond Regards,

  4. I totally agree with that, Leigh. I love things to be mismatched. I don't like everything matchy, matchy. I could sit around any of those dining room tables. XXXX

  6. I love ecclectic mixes, much more interesting then your standard 3 piece settings ie lounges, bed and drawer combos, matching dining, coffee tables, side tables etc etc. Mix it up I reckon!!!

  7. I have such a hard time with mismatched chairs. Maybe it is the OCD coming out me but I want my chairs to match. Now granted, I don't mind the end chairs being different (as long as they match).

My instinct is to rearrange these tables! I need to go take my medicine now :)

Thanks for always providing the most beautiful eye candy!

  11. I love images of mismatched chairs but don't know if I could personally live with it. I must have the same condition as Beachbrights mentioned above,OCD. Maybe I'll give it a go and do some deep breathing relaxation at the same time, this could work, lol

  13. Who'd have thought the first one would work out so beautifully though, I just love it. Would never have thought to put all those together.

  14. I love the look... in pictures.

I don't think it would translate so well to my house. Those ^^ are all beautiful spaces with/without the chairs!

  15. They are all gorgeous, love the idea of mixing different chairs. Perhaps I should start collecting chairs instead of beds :-)

They would take up a lot less room.....

  18. You know...I am a big fan of mixing odd chairs together...I love the way you can mix a bit of modern with antique and they just work so well together in this kind of setting...love it!

  19. May I say that I love this concept but I dislike the term "mismatched" ?

"Mismatched" sounds like a mistake. These arrangements are anything BUT. No effort was made to match, so the result should, in my opinion, be called "UNmatched," or "NONmatched," or whatever. Any way you slice it though, it's a great look!!!

  20. Actually, you've already hit on a great term:
    "oddly matched." Yes!!!
