Altamont Gardens (Tullow, Co. Carlow) are described as "Ireland's most romantic garden" - and it is!
Heywood Gardens (Ballinakill, Co. Laois) - all that remains of this beautiful estate is the sunken garden, the woodland gardens and lakes designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. Sadly the wonderful house was burnt down in 1950. This garden truly is heaven on earth.

ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteYes it looks amazing and very romantic indeed. The picture with the pink petals spilling onto the pathway is heaven!
The pond with the water lilies remind me of the lake I grew up by - it was full of red, white and yellow lilies that we used to tangle our feet in when we swam.. :)
Hope you are well and that the Southern Highlands aren't too cold.
