I actually love ironing, not so much washing, but I do it anyways. If only I could have a room solely for the purpose of ironing, I would like one like the top image, it looks so serene. Plus, I am loving the black bird line hangers, they're so cute.
What a great post. The laundry can be one of the 'unmentionable' spaces in the home [I don't know why] but one where a significant amount of time is spent. These images evoke light, fun, beauty and order and it's almost possible to smell the clean fresh smell of newly laundered clothing.
Beautiful images again today. Washing can certainly make a statement!! Mine will not look this good unfortunately. With all the bad weather we have been having I have created the carnal sin of getting behind in the washing...NOT GOOD. I wish I had a laundry like in image 3, I dream of a laundry that would look this stylish but be oh so practical...if we ever build.....Oh the gumboots Leigh, I have looked at pairs that have retailed for $220, obviously didn't buy but one day when the price is right! Have a great day....the sun is actually shining here today, so guess what I will be catching up on!!!! Take care Janine XXOO N.W. Coast Tasmania
Nice laundry, wished mine looked that good, ironed. I hate to go in the laundry room and seeing the pile which always speaks to me, "When are you going to iron me?" Maybe if I made the room a little more decorative I wouldn't mind spending time in it. A good friend of mine says he loves to iron, does his meditation while looking at the patterns in his shirts. But then his hand died, hand made shirts all come from Bali. That could be the secret of ironing, go to Bali!
ALMOST makes me want to iron ...
ReplyDeleteIf it did look that good, I'd probably spend more time doing both!

I've never seen laundry look so pretty and inviting. If mine looked that good, it would be a much more pleasant experience!
