Burning Desire

Spring has disappeared AGAIN here in the Highlands! It's cold, raining and very windy - just looking at all these gorgeous fireplaces makes me feel warmer.

  1. Goodmorning Leigh,

Yes it is freezing here in Bowral this morning and I have the heaters on. Oh how nice it would be to snuggle up with a pillow and blanket in front of one of these gorgeous fires and go back to sleep.

    Have a great week,

  2. Same here Leigh. After 4 days of glorious weather & no fire, MOTH had to chop more wood & set the fires again here yesterday as it was SOOOOO cold!

  4. Well, it's fall here in Maine, but today felt more like spring. Yesterday, however, we had pouring rain and howling winds; one of these lovely fireplaces would have suited just fine. I especially like the next-to-last photo! I want to curl up there with a good book and a cup of tea.

Thanks for your lovely comment and birthday wishes, Leigh!

    xoxo Gigi

  9. Hi Leigh, it's images like these that actually make me miss the cooler weather back home in NZ! We are finally having some rain here on the Gold Coast but it's still warm...8.30pm and we have the sliding doors wide open and the fans on, crazy!
Thanks for the advice re my console. Would love to see your painted tables that you mentioned.

  10. Hi Leigh
Looks like it is Aussie wide. Sydney is once again cold and rainy. More of the 16c days following on the heels of 30c days.

I'd love any one of these fireplaces.

Enjoy your week... maybe the sun will return. x Julie

  13. It's getting pretty cold here in England. We have a fireplace in nearly every room and I think that I should light at least one. I love all of the fireplaces you have shown, my favourites being 3 & 4. XXXX
