Our kitchen has had a little makeover and as you can see from the last photo the green has gone! It's amazing how a change of colour on the island has made such a difference.
My goodness, what an absolutely beautiful kitchen you have put together. It feels so warm and welcoming....I can imagine you spend many hours with good friends congregated around that kitchen table. Thank you so much for sharing. I've just seen you have a post on your kitchen garden....you are living the dream! Meredith.
I love the gorgeous newly painted white island but that's just the tip of the iceberg! I love your farm table, the built in baskets in the lovely hutch, your bespoke cabinetry, the lovely mix of white wares combined with your blue and white Chinese pieces. Just breathtaking, every square inch of it!
And I haven't even touched on the room just off of your kitchen! Phew! It's almost too much to take in all at once!
Gobsmackingly, spectacularly gorgeous kitchen Leigh and... er whole home! I spy a Nostalgie... kitchen perfection. I have to do a dark coloured Nostalgie next time... you have inspired me yet again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, beautiful home with us. A-M xx Ps So sorry about your puppy dog :(
Totally beautiful, what a welcoming, stylish, yet un-stuffy room. I think 99% of bloggers would give their right arm for a kitchen like that. I love your neutral-but-not-boring wall paint color, too - that's something I struggle to get right.
No way Leigh, these photos HAVE to be straight out of a magazine!!!! You have THE most spectacular kitchen/living space. Loving the island in it's fresh new coat. Angex
Leigh, your kitchen is beautiful! I can imagine you must really enjoy cooking. Did you also change the colour of the walls or just the island bench (its a bit hard to tell from the photos).
It's beautiful Leigh and you know I'm all about transitioning everything to white! Thanks for sharing this with us~ your house is amazing. Happy weekend to you. Hugs~ T
Oh Leigh, I knew that your kitchen would be nice but it's better than nice....it's AMAZING, just like the rest of Brabourne Farm. I would love to sit in there with a cup of tea and a slice of cake !! Is it your sitting room that it flows into ? I love seeing photos of your home because it's so gorgeous. Thanks for a peep into your lovely kitchen. XXXX
I love seeing pictures of Brabourne Farm. You have my dream kitchen!! I love over mantels above a stove, the colours are so heavenly and the simple elegance of the china with a cheeky green ginger jar giving a hint of colour...ahhh, not to mention a large table in the kitchen...a must...I would come and do your dishes any day.
Oh wow Leigh - my DREAM big, farmhouse, white kitchen. So very jealous. I live in a teeny 17 square metres cottage (which I love) with the world's smallest kitchen. Grass is always greener though...
You must enjoy it so much, I can only imagine how much fun it is to just stand in there and look around. What a beautiful place to start your day in. Thanks for sharing these images, they are amazing. ~Lili
Leigh, why am I not surprised to see such a beautiful kitchen? All the posts you feature give away so many little secrets about you and your kitchen is just as I imagined it would be :) What I especially like are all your little details, the basket filled with magazines, the chinese jars in blue and white and my favourite (I have the blue and white too) is the green one you have tucked under the bench with that large platter behind it. Perfect. Your white china is a lovely accent and I imagine it is used frequently. Candles on the bench top, surrounded by what? Looks intriguing and those three lovely tall jars filled with goodies. Once with pink and white and the other something different. Tell more.... I am a detail lady and have to say I have just enjoyed this so so much. Wonderful! Jeanne :)
Oh Leigh!!! Well I knew it would be good!!! but it is fabulous!! It has all the elements crucial to a Julie Kitchen but still seamless, clean and unfussy... love the bentwood chairs, the plate rack, the range, the open plan [very australian] and the seated area not too far off so the cook can actually enjoy the company... What a wonderful home you have.... I'm looking forward to more posts to make me envious!! haha... Just beautiful Leigh.. a fabulous home.. xx Julie
Job well done! The simple change to white works well. I love your table - reminds me of the one in the movie It's Complicated! As always, enjoy your comments at my blog and thanks again for stopping by. Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
What a fantastic entertaining area. I bet all your friends love being invited round tea or a nice dinner! The island looks great white - it makes the room look even bigger. I love your butler's sink and the range in the chimney breast. And that big double fridge is just what i need at my place for my hungry tribe. Al gorgeous, just like your blog. Clare x
