Table Talk

If the kitchen is the heart of the home, then the table has to be the heart of the kitchen. I love long tables where you can gather lots of friends and family for wonderful lunches and dinners. What a choice of tables there is - plain refectory tables, scrubbed pine, new and sleek, old and battered .... dress them up with matched or mismatched antique chairs, modern brushed aluminium, iron garden chairs for a lovely country feel or long benches. That's just a few of the wonderful choices you can make!

Sitting Pretty

Another of my very favourite things are single chairs. Shabby and old or newly upholstered, mismatched, large or small, odd chairs are lovely in any room of the house. They are high on my endless antique and junk shop wishlist - the search goes on!

Autumn @ Brabourne Farm

Autumn has arrived at Brabourne Farm - the days are getting short, the nights are cold, the leaves are turning yellow and falling and the larks have headed north for the winter. It's time to fill the wood basket and look forward to long nights by the fire - who could wish for more!

A Place to Dream

As we spend about one third of our lives in bed, our bedroom should be beautiful and luxurious, a room to relax and pamper ourselves in. Be indulgent! Go for pure comfort - beautiful linen and pillows, soft lit lamps. Surround yourself with your beautiful treasures and photos. Make it a place you look forward to returning to at the end of the day!
.Also, a big happy birthday to the gorgeous Lee over at Glimpse of Style (have a look at her blog - you'll love it). Hope you have a wonderful day Lee full of lovely, lovely things!
